flv in MPC HomeCinema Player? - the Windows app's doesn't support.
#Amd radeon hd 7340 16.60.2711.0 movie#
Furthermore if I get the video opened in the Movie & TV app and leave it open - then I can play all supported movies in both Windows Media Player or in MPC HomeCinema Player - even.

I can usually, after reboot, open the unplayable mp4 files in either Windows Movies &TV app or Windows Photos app, but not Windows Media Player or in MPC HomeCinema Player.īut here comes the interesting part: If I open the video in one of the two first mentioned apps (the movie doesn't even have to play properly = only sound no picture), then I can always open it in the other app if I leave the video open in the first app I opened.

Yesterday though, Windows Update installed the driver to version 12.200.1062.1004 which is the same version that AMD's installer refuses to install - so Microsoft apparantly has the intention of supporteung the AMD Radeon HD 7340 card.Īnyway, the update hasn't removed the problem, but I found a peculiar workaround for myself, which might help others in my situation:

Thanks, I tried the drivers - I had to install manually, but it didn't help.

Third - If I let Windows 10 reinstall my old windows 8.1 in order for me to wait for a proper driver, wil I then be entitled to the free Windows 10 upgrade later? Secondly is there any chance that there will ever be a fully functioning Windows 10 driver for AMD Radeon HD 7340 Graphics? So I am stuck with a faulty driver version 15.200.1045.1 installed by Windows 10 where the latest driver should be 15.200.1062.1004.įirst of all I find it highly objectionable that Microsoft lets Windows 10 install without proper drivers! My system has a AMD Radeon HD 7340 Graphics card, and the latest AMD Catalyst15.7.1 update cannot install an updated driver for the graphics card - not surprising since the card is not listed in the drivers. It will use the Ontario and Zacate APUs that will have some adjustments in their cores and integrated graphics, the models that will arrive are the E2-1800 with IGP Radeon HD 7340 and the E1-1200 with IGP Radeon HD 7310.I have recently updated my HP Pavilion g6-2361eo Notebook PC from Windows 8.1 to Windows 10 - there were no warnings about hardware incompability.īut now I cannot watch many video formats (mp4, flv and others), or I can watch a video once and thereafter only hear the sound from the video but not see the video untill I reboot.

In principle, they are expected to arrive during the months of July to September of this year and for now there is evidence of the following models. Leaked AMD RoadMap for processors and APUsĪnother AMD RoadMap that comes to light, a few days ago we talked about another RoadMap that AMD itself had released during the Financial Analyst Day event, in this case the issue of processors and APUs has been delved into.Īlthough in this case the data comes from a leak and not officially like the other time, however the guys from Donanim Haber are rarely wrong with the data they offer, let’s see how they present to us in more detail what AMD has planned in the processor and APU segments.įirst of all we have Vishera that will replace Zambezi (AMD FX), Vishera will be based on the Piledriver architecture and models with 4, 6 and 8 integer processing units (2, 3 and 4 Piledriver modules) will arrive.
